Front just clearing now, blue sky and warm sunshine at the moment, temp dropped through the morning from 20c to now 15c. Storms broke out just to the East of me unfortunately but its looking good for you guys in East and Midlands, enjoy :-)

I know Dewpoints aren't everything in these situations but currently one or two places are knocking on the 19c/66f mark, wow!

19.3oC + 88% humidity = thunder, hurrah! :-D

If nothing else it feels like it should be a Tstorm right now!!!

Indeed it does and I think I may strike it lucky sometime soon. I've got a real thunderhead on now too.

As for the dewpoints, they have been steadily increasing since daybreak and the Temperature has also risen steadily in spite of occasional rain, must be the warm sector.

Precisely, if only it were that simple though. Many parts of Hampshire looking good right now.

If I get purple skies then I'll know I'm on to a winner.

Rain related?

Coach 'overturned and fell off viaduct'

by Ian Axton: ITV West Country Presenter

Eyewitness reports of the coach crash on the A36 say the coach "overturned and fell off the viaduct at the traffic lights" on the A36 at Brassknocker Hill near Bath.

The crash happened at around 11.30 am this morning. I was only a mile away at the time and the rain was torrential.

The excitement for an overhead thunderstorm is building... Go Newbury :p

Very grey and stormy looking to my South now. Another storm on the S Coast but looks like they are not keen on firing over us today so far.

Just wondering if T-storms are expected to form behind the cold front as with along it, currently only had a spell of heavy rain, no thunder or lightning...yet.

They sky to my south has gone from white cloud to dark fast moving cloud in the past 10 minutes... things are rather explosive today!

Thank you continental air for your sneaky entrance!

Lots of people seem to be losing sky signal, at the moment I'm happily still watching the tv.

Persistent light rain, the sky is fairly light not dark as others have commented. The temperature has definitely dropped as people are starting to cover up now (they weren't before) the breeze feels a little chilly at times mixed with warmer air. I think we are on the boundary of cooler Atlantic air here perhaps. I noticed around the north Wales coast is around 16-17C currently. I think convective potential will fizzle out further north and west but may invigorate later further eastwards?

This is a vicious squall for sure, will update further later. Several Thunderclaps heard already and its all heading East.

The latest image courtesy of NW v6 is attached. Even better action to by East, bugger being on the M4 right now. help.gifhelp.gif
