Wow!

Just had my first mini blizzard!

Lasted about 3mins, covered everywhere, soon as the suns come back out its melted as quick!

Temps also dropped quite quickly

Could do with some of those bigger showers coming together

A nice sight to say the least

Funny how we now have perfect straight lines where the sun is shining!!!

looks like a nice packet of big showers in the north sea are inbound for our region later...also have you noticed how the showers overland maintain their energy... i wonder with the sun being up its creating convection... or its just the speed they are moving.

I do love the snow, but when it's in such measly amounts and its a spring month, I am slowly starting to long for some warmth. *don't shoot*

grrr can see the showers passing by a matter of a few miles bound towards Scunny radar check shows this too though looking to be a few broader showers forming out in the North sea, upside apart from some hard surfaces little thaw

Slow thaw here now is March so to be expected clouding over again though hopefully might get an few beefy showers. Looks fun in the channel islands good on them to get some decent snow very rare especially at this time of year.

Looks like the temperature predictions were a bit far off the mark, we're already up to 2.2C here though you can tell the air is cold as the dewpoint is -5.1C.

We had a couple of lone showers last night which left a 70% covering but so far we've managed to dodge almost every single one. Hopefully that line of showers will come in later on as they look pretty impressive.

Had many showers over the last 24 hours which unfortunately hasn't accumulated to much. Just a dusting currently, as the strong March sunlight between the showers has been warming up the the surfaces temperatures. If we can keep the showers going later afternoon and into the evening there is a chance of a few cm's but I'm not getting my hopes up. Shower activity looks to continue over the next few days as the winds turns to the NNE although during the day there is a chance these could be sleety to lower levels due to the slightly warmer uppers. An interesting few days for coldies anyway.

Woke up this am to virtually no additional snowfall overnight and about 2cm on the ground. We then had a sharp shower. Cleared the drive and the path outside before I went to work and, when i got to Doncaster, we started having a big shower. This transmogrified into a group and added another cm or so. However, most of that has now melted in the strong sunlight sadly.

Not had time to check the weather station today but will do so when i get home. Deffo a snow day though, which is cool good.gif Seems to have been a fair few showers rattling through Bev today too, although with a slightly more easterly track.

Quite a tricky drive to the station early this morning with around 2 or 3 cm of snow overnight. Down in London today and not back in Lincs until this evening and a little apprehensive about my drive home.

It touched -0.6C an hour ago but each shower really drops it down, -2.4 here at the moment but could still pop up just above freezing later.

Im suprised how readily these showers are getting over the Pennines today. Its actually quite frustrating that we have next to nothing here but less favoured parts are actually doing rather well!

Its currently 1.4C here after the earlier peak of 2.2C. The snowfall we had that has seen any sunshine has melted but it is remaining in sheltered areas.

Heavy snow shower outside now with considerable drifting.

Wind causing the snow to spin around on the road. Looks impressive.

Temp dropped but was too cold to go outside to see how much by...ohmy.png
