Only for the rain falling before the snow fall last night it would have been a different story this morning. Will be a nightmare when the frost sets in this evening.

According to BBC forecast THIS morning the showers will ease off during the day. However, a front moves through this evening with continuous heavy showers from the Northwest. This to last well into tomorrow afternoon. Hard to tell how far east they will travel, you are due some luck! Us Westies have got all the luck this winter.

Nice heavy line of showers moving into the North West now, hopefully will get this far East. More heavy showers overnight perhaps merging to give a longer period of snow in the North West.

More wintry showers through out the weekend.

As for the slider low giving a more prolonged widespread are of snowfall, the jury is out on this one, as the models show complete disagreement on how deep it will be and how far West or East it will get. So it could be rain or snow or indeed dry.

Hopefully the 12z will firm up on it.

The showers that were showing on the radar for here haven't materalised. It's been sunny for a few hours and the roads are now slush. The grass, cars and footpaths seem alright though. Looking a bit dark out to my west so will see what happens.
