And propably for the whole of Autumn beginning from Monday!

Not! 🙄, do you bother to read the various forums? Or do you just 'wish' cast!🤯

Had a late night due to staying up to catch some of the Persied shower, and as I head to my bed now I can see a heavy mist laying in the bottom of the wolds. Wonder if it’ll linger for long in the morning 🤔

Another night with near normal temperatures thankfully. Letting all the hot air out of the house now.

Mist hung until about 7.30am here. Been burning off for last 1/2hr, clear blue skies prevailing again.

An average night again allowed me to cool the house down nicely.

Must be a bit of a temperature inversion when I got to fox house the wind was warm while at home it was cool.

Go to admin I'm surprised the record hasn't gone for us probably the average nights asking too much for the sun to do.

It does seem to have cooled down each night a little more than expected. Noted that the meto website had me down for 15c each night recently but it's been lower than that, 13c last night for example. I'm obviously happy with that as it's been lovely to sleep in after having Windows open in the evening to cool it down.

But I agree, I think the slightly lower than expected starting point each day has held us off getting into the 30s

Well we've got into the thirties three days on the bounce. We've now caught up with yesterdays temperature and still going up at 1.8C per hour.

Will we brake the record today? Impressive daily range of between 16C to 19.1C.

Not made 30 here yet. Decent breeze today though so mixing things up a bit too much maybe?

Sheffield certainly was hotter than here today it seems. Maxed out at 29.9 and now down to 28.8c

Hope it cools off quickly like it did yesterday and it should be a nice evening.

I'll try and spot a shooting star after dark again. Didn't manage to catch one yesterday!

My 4th consecutive 32C+ day,  also had 4 consecutive cloudless all day events, spoilt this morning by low St and fog. What a spell of weather but too much for me, mid twenties is fine!

Concreting done and a log store built, 😁, running a mixer today was hard work i had to go flat out to get it laid in good time in this heat, the area i concreted was in the shade but my mixer wasn't 🥵, had 2 cups of tea and 5 pints of juice to keep hydrated, now sat in the pub beer garden having a few cold one's to make sure i am hydrated enough 🤣🤣👍🍺😎

I feel for you, mate: one of my daughters was born on a hot late-July day in 1983. It must be awful for the women!

Not got much of a breeze tonight, the heat of the day does feel a bit 'trapped in' this evening, the last few nights have had a nice slightly stronger easterly breeze that has helped drop temps quicker after sunset,

That’s interesting as I feel it’s cooler tonight as the mist has descended again. However the internal heat has been building day on day these last few days so it’s gonna take longer to shift probably.  Standing outside now you can feel the cool moisture in the air, admittedly without a breeze. But put it this way, I wouldn’t be standing out in the garden in the middle of the night tonight without some sleeves on!

Tbf, my old chalk cottage maybe has soaked up a bit of heat and is retaining it internally? Just popped outside and it is cooling off but it is very still this eve, no 'sleeves' required tho, quite warm & pleasant out!

This is my favorite type of evening, sat out in the garden in shorts n T-shirt, dark but warm, just chilling with a beer watching the sky go by, Bliss!!
