Driving back from North Wales. Currently raining. How is Longton area of Stoke looking?

Now turning to snow and settling fast just south of Manchester. Traffic building up.

Can't believe how quickly the transition of energy to East Midlands happened. Thankfully I caught loads of the main band so a good 1-2cm everywhere.

Black clouds here on the northern edge of the ironstone belt but as yet not a flake.

According to the radar it’s snowing heavily!

I think everything is 5-10 miles or so Northwest of what the radar shows.

Just started snowing moderately in Nottingham, sticking straight away.  Looks like there could be a couple of hours of snowfall in it. Was not sure this morning it would get this far east, then next thing I know there is a yellow snow warning!

Just goes to show in these set ups snow can pop up anywhere at short notice.  Hopefully this is the appetiser for whats in store next month.

Caught a decent part of the band now. Grass nicely covered now, for reference the back half of garden was green before today.

Dark clouds all around now, still nothing - check that light flakes dropping, slight NE flow in falling.
