Another very good early Spring day. Plenty of sunshine, no wind and feeling quite warm. Tomorrow set to be the last of the warm feeling days of late, perhaps not quite as warm, with may be more high level cloud about, but still very respectable. A good day for any outing, gardening, outdoor activity etc, and an extra hour of evening daylight to make the most of it.

The new week will be a bit of shock, back into single digit maxima by mid week, and some sub freezing nights on the way, possible snow for some as well. Brrr.. and not good timing with energy price hikes kicking in..

Looks like the NW will fall lucky and stay on the brighter side of things tomorrow/ Mothers Day! ☀️Beautiful day again to get out and about in today - reached 18c here in S Cheshire but we’ll be closer to 7-9c maximum this time next week, some chilly nights with a risk of frost too so a notably cold start to April with Spring put on hold for a time

Yes, bright rather than wall-to-wall sunshine this morning and signs of cloud coming in as forecast. Still warm though which is good for a full weekend.

Great day so far, 10th on the trot now.. Decent sunny spells, and with no wind it feels warm directly in it. Current temp 13.4 degrees, not quite as warm as some days but very respectable.

It is the last of the very good 10 day spell, tomorrow looks much cloudier with chance of showers and cooler.

Back to reality with a bump this week. Turning chilly with a risk of wintry showers currently Wed night into Thursday. Falling snow to lower levels can’t be ruled out as colder air digs in who said Spring wasn’t interesting!

Yes, it will be a real shock to the system later this week, especially after the temperatures we've seen over the past week or so. Temperature down a bit here today compared to yesterday due to a little more cloud cover, but still plenty of sunny spells and warm out with a current temperature of 16.5C.

Just got back home after a great but tiring days walking in around Derwentwater and up into the lower reaches of Borrowdale.

conditions couldn’t have been better with pretty much wall to wall sunshine, certainly not bad for the wettest place in England.

Another nice morning, with cloud clearing and still quite mild / warm. I think today or perhaps tomorrow may be the last of these days for a while.

Yes unfortunately all downhill after tomorrow looking at models this morning it varies on the direction of the front bringing the snow GFS and GEM have it more East of Manchester Arpege is a direct hit ECM more a middle ground rather not have snow at this time of the year but hay if its going to snow let's hope for a decent covering and not a slush and sleet fest.

Played safe with the washing and put it on maiden in conservatory.

Grass cutting later if time allows.

Overcast damp skies. There is some heavy rain within touching distance of here. Indeed we have puddles outside, first bit of rain in about 11 or 12 days.

Well well well. I’m back. Thought I would be firmly in the convective thread for the rest of the year having consigned last winter to the dustbin of history. It seems not though.

Wednesday night is looking rather good dare I say for some snow on WRF for the region. Above 200 m for most of the day in fact.

Must be some sort of convergence zone over far N England. Persistent band of moderate rain affecting these parts despite no front or trough feature. Much cooler than recent days and feeling more akin to late March.

Another warm and sunny afternoon, max of 15.5C which is down a notch again. It looks like this part of the region could well cling onto another warm and mostly sunny day tomorrow, but all change on Wednesday...

Turning into quite a wet day, it has been largely persistent since dawn - mix of light and moderate bursts, was not forecast to last as long as it has.

I’m glad I saw the best of the lakes yesterday rather than what keeps them filled up today.

that said they wouldn’t be there without the rain.

cloudy but dry start down here but increasingly sunny this afternoon and although a bit cooler, certainly not bad.

Thankfully missed any rain today, so managed to cut the lawn and see to a few garden tasks before the changes arrive midweek.  The last 10 days have definately led my early spring hopes into a false sense of security and a rude awakening is about to come crashing down.  The daffs are out in force, the pollinators are buzzing around.  Start the week in T-Shirt and Baseball cap, end it in a Fleece and Beanie Hat.

Yes had to waft a huge bee (looked like a queen one) out the house today before the missus screamed the house down . As you say a big change on the way, warm parker and hat looking like coming back out of the wardrobe. Thought I'd seen the last of them until November.

Looking at the forecasts, yes it’s cooling down quite a bit from where we have been over the last few days but 8-9c on its own would hardly be newsworthy and even the snow has been massively downgraded from the Day after Tomorrow conditions forecasted at the end of last week to a hit and miss affair.

maybe a bit of settling snow over the highest ground but for the vast majority, a return to the cold rain we endured over most of the winter period.

As per the Northwest tonight forecast just on the BBC

Snow mainly to the North and East of the city centre still possibilities for other areas but looking like cheshire and Merseyside will miss out not really bothered but not looking forward to rain sleet fest on Wednesday.

First time in about 5 months I can see some good chunks of bare ground and a bare green roof in one the world's snowiest places in Japan. Says just 11cm on the ground now where it's measured. Been a steady thaw the last few days there. Be ironic if they got to zero snow cover yet we started to get some.

Still managing to scrape a decent start to the day here but the airs not warming up as quickly as a few days ago... outside chance of a shower later before Wednesday's cold rain fest, with a bit of slush on its backedge... can't wait.
