Just had the heaviest rain I've ever seen lasted about 5 minutes, my road is underwater. Very surprised there was no lightning.

In Southampton just got caught outside in torrential rain thunder and lightning, soaked but enjoyed it!

TORRO has issued a Tornado watch, with some very 'concerning' wording for our neck of the woods.

Well, that was a wild night. Not quite as loud as storm Eunice, but given that was a daytime storm, this was definitely the loudest night of winds I've heard since moving out here in June 2021

What made you move to the IOW?

very unusual for dan not to do a forecast

From CW's Facebook, where they also shared TORRO's outlook along with this post:

"Sadly, being a voluntary organisation, no time to issue convective forecasts at the moment but TORRO have flagged the squally showers/thunderstorms today with potential for isolated tornadoes and large hail"

Scuddy stuff already here as the initial parts of the squall line look to be approaching here.

I was born here and lived here until 2014, but moved off for 7 years while my girlfriend was doing Uni/PhD for the combination of better job opportunities and not having to put up with a long distance relationship anymore. Now, thanks to 'hybrid working' post-pandemic, we are back here, engaged and own a house!

Very interesting structure on the cell approaching me. Base of the cell looks fantastic, doesn't show up well on camera though.
