as much as i hate this time of year, I really haven't minded the cold, dry days.

Its the return of the wind and rain i'm dreading.

Exactly. Wind and rain is just a waste of time, as well as milder temperatures. 😅

Storm Ciaran set the new lowest pressure record for England and Wales at 953.3mb at sea level. That chart shows 938mb at 500hpa. I wonder what that would be at sea level

Not an all-time record, only for November.

At the airport snows coming down thick and fast again. Hows the white gold going back home? Absolutely dreamy in you know where 😉 went to visit my ancestors town Sigtuna the oldest town in the country a viking settlement. I thought I'd share some photos got around 8 possibly 9 inches of snow here now up from about 6inches when I landed 2 days ago. Off to Suffolk/Norfolk border tomorrow until Monday, hows the models looking for there I saw we have a yellow warning!

It was mostly snow here this morning, although nothing settled. Just a mix of rain, sleet, and snow now. Pretty miserable with a temp of 2.4°C  and feels like below freezing.

Reminds me of July and August when literally everywhere else was having an actual summer and the UK was stuck in an extended autumn.

Frost is still hanging on here, and now there's a nasty breeze added into the mix.

August was fine here, and I'm not too bothered about poor summer weather as its always at least warm 20c+

We never had a frost in the first place down here 😆 that is the price of living by the sea!

Unless I'm mistaken, if @Kentspur has been in Sigtuna, I'm guessing he's been at Stockholm Arlanda airport. Could be wrong and it is Heathrow and we've all missed some snow 😄

Could Saturday be an ice day???

May be for somewhere, certainly not here. Rain moving in Saturday night, and temps on the up!

Ahhh, December. My least favourite month by a longshot. The usual weather for this month is grey, wet, damp, cool, boring and dark. Last December was an incredibly rare exception of snow and crisp sunny days. Had a peek at the forecast and its 7-10 degrees, zero sun & lots of rain for the foreseeable. Wake me up when its over!

-1 at the moment. Hard frost on the ground. Rooftops with a shade of white on them and the sun out in all it's glory. Lovely to see. Some of the guys in the MOD Thread need to live and enjoy the moment when we have a cold spell. Worry about what tomorrow brings when it comes. 🙂
