Looks like Northolt and Heathrow have both hit 26.5c, will have to see later if 27c was broken.

danm I see that Northolt did reach 27 C for an hour so it still counts.

Addicks Fan 1981 yeh but was that 27c rounded? On the top temperatures of the day page it shows 26.5c.

Addicks Fan 1981 ok. It’s just that the meteociel maps round temperatures to the nearest whole.

Still a cool sea breeze here today meaning we reached a max of 18.4C, but the sea fret of yesterday has gone and it has pretty much been sunny all day for once.

In any case it is irrelevant - Iver has topped that with 27.0C (rounded to 1dp, actually 26.98C technically!). Not sure if anywhere else has topped that - am sure that Met Office will report later on with the highest.

markyo Yeah it will still be cooler next week - but not as cool as had been forecasted. Previously it was thought the wind direction might be more westerly but it now looks like predominantly southerly to south-easterly through the early part of next week at least.

Can never understand why not simply use the
weatherobs      site?

Temps reported to the decimal point and all official UK stations included (03xxx and 99xxx).  These include the CET sites and the Scots ones which so often top the UK lists, as did yesterdays.  Also ability to view previous obs.  No family interest!

dryfie the sites I use also show temperature recordings to 1 decimal point, however the final synop readings don’t come in until later, and sometimes show a higher reading than the live observations.

Looks like some lively showers in parts of the west:

Been a lovely day on the Yorkshire Wolds today, better than yesterday tbh, no sea fret this evening is a bonus unlike last eve, still sat outside in a t-shirt with a cold one 🍻😎

Sakura owl, you never post from say Oct to April, weather is all year round, think yourself lucky this setup wasn't 2-3 months later, we'd be looking at mid 30's

time of year still too early for real heat

High of 25C now followed by a little thunderstorm to end the day. Not bad at all.

SakuraOwl Not if it's also the most humid on record, too!! 🥵 😒

Very warm today and only a few rumbles of thunder this afternoon with a brief shower.  Dry again now.
