Three hours into an amber wind warning and nothing more than gusty here. Bournemouth airport only just gusting to 40mph.

To be fair, gusting nearly 60mph in Poole Harbour

Same here in the North Midlands. Best to be thankful as winds can be damaging.

But nothing more than a gusty eve. Over damatised as per.

51 and 52mph are the highest gusts for me so far.

Not quite as bad as January 2nd though.

Same here, nothing much different from the average winter storm. Unless it can pull itself together down here in the next 4-5 hours, I wouldn’t expect much. I am quite thankful that we arnt seeing the worst of this down here otherwise we probably would end up with quite a bit of damage and a little bit of flooding too.

Rain pelting down here as well, telephone wires swinging wildly around .

No dipped lights though .

Really feel for Scotland and the North West with the bad stuff still to come .

Very squally. Wouldn’t be surprised if the winds in that reached 80-90 mph

I'd like to be proven wrong, but something tells me that video is not in the UK.

Technically correct it would seem. Ireland, therefore not in the UK

Also. It does seem like another named storm is coming on Tuesday. Although not named currently, the MetOffice wording to the current yellow wind warning suggests a possible amber warning (which would warrant them naming the storm)
image.thumb.png.7ab5cfbc5d4c6a8cc3dbbbe7c07743f7.png

"although it is not yet clear where the most likely location for the stronger winds is at this time. Further updates to this warning are likely in the coming days."

Wind gusts are getting a little stronger here, maybe to the low 60’s…

im not sure where to find an accurate nearby weather station though reporting real time stats with wind gusts included
