I really do not think this snow is going to leave that much. If you look you can see the snow belt is filling and breaking up. Pressure is also building and it is moving along quite smartly. My educated guess is at most a couple of inches, maybe two and you will be lucky. The snow is though getting lighter with time and will mostly have petered out by morning. The Atlantic looks like making inroads at the weekend when attention once again will turn to flooding. But, we have had a couple of weeks of winter.

Seriously it just is not . Not a single winter fly !

Heading back towards Sketty in half hour or so , suspect the front will move towards Morriston then and away from Sketty ! Lol

Right on the periphery , need to edge west a tad more

Point is Sketty IS to the west of Manselton....so it should be here now. Dont you just hate selective snowfall.mega_shok.gif

looking at the radar it seems like it cant go any further west, the ppn is fizzling out on its western edge and going back sw ?

You're lucky!

We have a covering here but it varies a lot. Pavement and roads about 1cm, cars a bit more and then over an inch in "mini drifts" where the wind has blown it about lol.

Looking at what's heading towards us across the channel in Bristol, I think your covering will be a little more substantial by the morning!

Here's hoping!

Agreed- it's made very little westwards progress in last 30mins or so. May have a spurt in a bit, may not...

Have you looked at the radar? Sustained greens until the early morning (on NW) can give a couple of inches let alone the yellows and reds that maybe coming our way. If it stays like this until 3am (however more snow possible after this time) there would have been a lot of snow accumulated, and we are not even in the oranges/yellows!

Not making much northwards progress either, looks like it may stall just short of here. SE Wales and also Forest of Dean getting nailed by the look of the radar.

There is also a bunch of heavy and intensifying showers near Poole one to watch out for after!

The heavy precipitation seems to be stalled to the east of Maesteg.

staring to come down a bit heavier now

the snow doesn't seem to know which way to blow. one minute it's blowing from the NNW, then from the SSE, completely opposite

dew point still a touch too high though. threatening to stick, but not quite making it
