This is a very interesting radar portrayal of the different airmasses in play from southern to northern Europe and illustrates the contrasts we are dealing with that are fuelling the low which is about to plough along/just to the south of the Northern France coastline. The developing snow shower clouds can be seen from the Dutch coast and heading SW'erds then there is the frontal airmass streaming in from the atlantic and below that look at the number of thunderstorms in the warmer airmass to the south

Can we stick to the weather in this thread from here on in - if anyone wants to start an off topic subject surrounding the issues being discussed in here by some - the serious discussion area is a good place to start.

On another subject, latest radar looking really interesting..

Looks like more and more coming towards Anglia.

Would be nice to see some settling snow here but not at Cheltenham please

For gods sakes don`t have a burger for lunch.

I think the clerk of the course is a little concerned with frost but certainly going ahead for now.

Winds seem to be changing now actually looking at the radar, the streamer is going to move to my North soon and go right over my old house! Bloody typical, only moved last week

the cloud sheet is breaking up over england - quite a few wholes appearing on sat image. this should help the showers become more widespread - i think?!
