Not many days can describe as ideal weather wise for fell walking. Today was one such day. Could not fault the conditions. Superb walking weather.

Lots of snow on top of Great Dodd ... as you correctly say superb conditions. Looks like lakes will get a good topping up during next week.

Yes more snow in April than much of  Jan and Feb!

It has turned into another decent weekend for getting out and about. A mostly bright and dry day yesterday and we escaped the showers. A similar story again today by the looks of it with another dry day, but more cloud likely. A few days of mild damp weather from tomorrow, but perhaps a return to the drier colder conditions as we head into next weekend. Its only early April so one or two more wintry incursions are not out of the question.

A cold cloudy start got down to -1c in the night currently 2c - early April is usually fairly chilly at times - I would rather get any chilly Spring weather out the way with this month with a warm summery May but here’s hoping we can see a return of some Spring like warmth before months end.

Up at 7ish this morning and expected to see everything white with frost but nothing so whether cloud moved in and stopped it falling away, not sure but certainly not what I was expecting.

a quick 4 mile walk done so off to get our PCR tests done now followed by a lengthy squeaky bum period while we wait for the results.

A much cloudier day and with the absence of sunshine despite temps being slightly higher than recent days still only 8 degrees it feels much colder.

A real contrast here to the North of the region. It's turned out more sunny than I was expecting today, rounding off a decent weekend. It has clouded in during the past hour, high of 9.8C.

Soggy, Windy, Chilly, Foggy, basically a vile day to be anywhere out in the hills this afternoon, I made it 1/4 mile before getting soaked through and decided the warmth of the car was the better option.

Yes not a great day drizzly rain, mist hugging the still bare trees in the valley. Milder though..... temp has got into double figures but in the breeze and zero sunshine it's felt more like 7 or 8C. Similar tomorrow by the looks of things before it turns brighter, showery & colder Wednesday onwards.

Lost the polar air today hence the dank drizzly low cloud and no sunshine. Despite temps nudging 12 degrees hasn't felt particularly mild.

Looking forward to the return of polar air on Wednesday, sunshine and frost.

Miserable Monday after a fairly decent all be it chilly weekend weather wise Cheshire way leaden skies with drizzly rain on and off, cool & breezy. Looks like we aren’t the only ones across Europe not feeling Spring like though - Spain & Portugal looking particularly cold for the time of year & not offering much Easter holiday sun at the moment.

A miserable day today, overcast and damp throughout and a high of 9.8C. Fortunately, just a couple of days to endure of this weather, with a return to brighter and colder conditions from Wednesday onwards with wintry showers for some. Far more preferable to this dull weather.

Morning All,

A bright, even sunny start but the radar depicts whats to come in an hour or two.image.thumb.png.702c3a06ec59b4e5704e9c02051021aa.png

I've been swamped of late with family pressures so had to prioritise my time. This morning, I've  allowed myself 10 minutes to come on here.

Miserably wet, chilly and cloudy again. Currently steady rain.

March rain total was only 34.9mm

Already April given us 43.1mm
