No rain today here either. Tomasz S suggested on the forecast for the week ahead that there may be the odd shower over the next day or two, but the weather is then set to be dry and increasingly warm for the rest of the week, with little prospect of any substantial rainfall in this time.

Cloudy but dry and mild this morning. Potential for an odd shower later, well it wouldn't be a bank holiday without some form of precipitation! Have a good day!

Aye it’s turning into a rinse and repeat of yesterday, cloudy but a bit damp.

At least Saturday was a cracking days weather and unless this afternoon unexpectedly turns out wet, it’s not been a bad BHW.

Not the best of May Day Bank Holidays, odds spots of showers through the day, since 5pm its been a damp squib, persistent light rain/drizzle and low cloud, not forecast. Its a drab evening, current temp 10.6 degrees.

A cloudy damp morning.

I'm on chauffeur duties today and for the rest of the week.

After yesterday being a downhill sort of day, today has definitely been one of improvement.

certainly not wall to wall sunshine but a lot brighter than earlier in the day and with it, a warmer feel to things.

that said though, there are some threatening looking clouds so I wouldn’t be surprised to see a beefy shower spoil my outside jobs this evening.

Talking of beefy showers, the BBC forecast tonight has suggested these for tomorrow but further south and east to our region. The storms thread has picked up on this along with the possibility of heat and thunder next week.

A non-entity sort of day. Just cloudy throughout, slight bit of drizzle this morning. Come on May you can do much better than this!

Unusually for recent weeks but a wet start to day.

Sat in car near Bredbury and the sun is just breaking through the gloom.

Just caught sight of an A330 through the low cloud on approach to Manchester Airport.

Now in Droylsden parked up listening to the big drops of rain hitting the car roof.

Been in Hadfield all morning at a rental cleaning carpets… was going to go to Hyde/Ashton but saw queue right along woodhead over the tops and decided to go to glossop Tesco instead…

chilly rainy/heavy drizzle cloud hugging hilltops… hopefully better at weekend and warmer

Heading back to Hadfield shortly from Top Mossley. Cutting down Matley Lane, Godley,  Hattersley, Ashworth Lane, Broadbottom and Charlesworth.

It certainly makes you plan to be stuck in traffic for an hour extra each way.

A better day than the last few.. has stayed dry after early morning rain. Some breaks in the cloud and warmer max 15.2. Feels more like May.

A bit of brightness to the sky today in contrast to yesterday's doom-fest, I was out doing some footpath & stile restoration near to Matlock and got caught out by a few of the heavier showers that passed although fortunately the tree's have enough leaf-cover on them now to offer some shelter. Tomorrow is looking like another grey-bleak day before the weekend but at least the recent rains have brought the vegetation and amphibians back into spring-season again.

Sat in car near Denton. Its pretty warm and sultry. Should have hung the washing out this morning but decided against it.

Yes, the darkside intervened yesterday in Real style.

Now in Tintwistle on last visit. Sat in car, gentle warm breeze, sweet scents and the birds are tweeting.

Dry warm and partly sunny.
