The blustery easterly wind is taking the edge off things today, but its another usable sunny dry Spring day. Can't complain about the weather recently, only douse of proper rain last 10 days or so fell last Sat evening conveniently.  Great timing for Easter school holidays.

With the blustery wind it’s not the best of days for spraying fence paint although it’s a damn site quicker and easier than  brushing it on.

I just hope that the neighbours like the charcoal grey tint to their plants

A sunny start today, clouded in around late morning, but back to sunny periods again now. A breezy day.

Roaring beast from the east with plenty of sunshine.  Mostly feeling uncomfortably cold outdoors, though max 15.3C.  Things flapping and bending.  Tree pollen haze of course but also where there's tracks with bare soil, we have DUST blowing.

Ah yes - "a peck of March dust is worth a king's ransom" .  A bit late but never mind.

Cold may, red hot thundery June (Hopefully)

Anyway, it been a few weeks since who had what for tea.

I made a lasagne for tea with salad and a cheesy garlic bread side.

Thai meal for 2 from a well known higher end supermarket.

£10 but even though I’m a tight sod, after a couple of hours in our local, worth every penny

We've gotten lucky with the weather over the past few days which is fortunate as i've been out to Yorkshire and parts of Cumbria since late Weds, the winds were howling over the tops of the N.Yorkshire Moors (estimated 50mph) but in the lull of the valleys it was blue-skies and t-shirt weather. At one time heading on-to Wild Boar Fell the views were expansive enough to see the Lake District, Great Dodd Fell, Yorkshire 3 Peaks, and parts of Snowdonia (using binocs.)

Not a bad last day before I go back to work again in the morning.

The weather was good, our football result was good and the other result went for us so for the first time since before the largely forgettable winter of 2021-22 even started, we are out of the bottom 3.

Despite the cold wind, yet again another lovely mid spring day, lots of sunshine, dry and temps up to about 14 degrees. Can't complain. Polar air giving superb clear skies. On average this is the most likely time for lengthy settled conditions in the Lake District, and yet again 2022 is delivering.

A interesting read about snow which has been recorded to persist numerous times at the bottom of Eldon Hole (near Peak Forest) by cavers, between 1946-1948 & 1949, and between 2010-2013.

Another nice morning. A few puffy clouds and the odd light shower to my North. 8°C at the moment.

A cold start may have been a touch of frost. Cloud cover is quite thick and showers have been sparked to our east. Might catch one or two in coming hours. Cool feeling. 12.5 degrees. Not as cold as this time last year remember it being a decidedly cold week, temps struggled to make it into double figures.

An unexpected shower has just put a sudden if only short lived end to my outside painting although it did warn me by providing a decent rainbow as it came in from the east.

Maybe it’s because I’m still in holiday mode but there’s a definite cold feel outside this evening.

A lovely sunny start in this part of the lake district with an overnight low of 3.8c. Seven consecutive days now without rain. Threatening dark skies yesterday afternoon over Blencathra but no rain fell at valley level. Breezy/windy over the last few days has taken the edge off the temperatures and still very chilly at a height. Ideal conditions for the high fells.

On way home after great game… City should have been 4-0 ahead in first half ⚽⚽⚽⚽
Took 2 hours to get to Etihad Stadium with blody roadworks/queues Glossop is a nightmare at the moment and the council/highways agency and United utilities are a joke at coordinating anything ‍
Not too bad useable day today warm in sunshine ☀️

hopefully weekend more of the same and warmer 2nd bbq of 2022? Plus tapas again Saturday at bulls head
