Third absolute downpour in the last 90mins. Absolutely battering it down!

Same here in Mudeford, sat in the car waiting for it to pass, the camera is at the ready just in case as you can't let even the smallest chance pass you by after this years big letdown 🤣

The rain here in Christchurch is crazy heavy but nothing remotely electrical happening even though it looks impressive on radar

Looks like the Isle of Wight is under water.

Amber warning belatedly issued.

I’m pretty sure this was the snowfall (from the 11th). I randomly screenshot the radar if it looks interesting and I just so happened to have that one

Convective Outlook⚡

Throughout Thursday afternoon into the early hours of Friday, we will see multiple waves of thunderstorms affecting SW/S England & parts of Wales.

Most thunderstorms will stay offshore during the evening/overnight however some may clip coastal areas.

Not anything I'd stay up for, at best a couple lightning strikes you wouldn't get on video.

ECM has looked fairly interesting for later this week and the weekend for its last few runs. Plenty of heavy showers in coastal areas particular, and it's that time of year where the warm seas can help generate a decent thermal gradient for those to become thundery. I suspect to see many an anvil out over the channel in the coming week.

Well, I was right about that! An absolute procession of anvils over the channel for the last 24 hours. They're all lined up again this morning.

The trough and associated squall modelled to move across the SW and into the SE and EA later tomorrow (Sat 28th Oct) needs watching. Potential for bow elements and embedded structure given the parameters. GFS high res returning up to 500 0-3km SRH across the south at 15Z.
