I also forgot 'coffee', 'cigar' and 'better upstream amplification'. How remiss of me!

OK guys. I think we have enough clichés now thanks. Back to 12z model output please......

"back to the models" - full house (go on, indulge me )

.... Here's a model.

ICON 12z, I wasn't expecting this to be honest.

more amplified?

Yes, more than 6Z, although not as much as UKMO at that same timeframe.

Mate that UKMO T144 is a beauty

T120 gfs & Ukmo differences are evident. Unfortunately it’s the gfs that goes on when actually it’s the ukmo I would rather see.

With such big differences between UKMO and GFS, anything after day 6 should just be looked at the novelty value really.
However, if ECM sides with UKMO it will be interesting to see how it develops.

Jon you are a fixture here, please keep posting.

Cheers friend..means a lot!..and for sure the GEFS 6z is not without interest from a cold perspective, looking at the bigger picture rather than just our tiny dot on the map!

Never forget 2013... UKMO was all over it & GFS ploughed the energy east!

I keep seeing 2013 mentioned but I seem to have had amnesia about it. If anyone can give dates of the standout cold spells so I can geek out on the archive charts it would be appreciated.

I think I was in a haze with two young babies that winter so was barely aware what was going on the weather world!

My memory is poor. How did ECM do at the same time Steve?
