If it does stall over us.. Where do u think the snow line will be before it turns to rain out west! I'm thinking Oxford?

Yeah I would say that's a good estimation, I think it will be an exciting 48 hours from tomorrow though, tracking the PPN on the radar, keeping a close eye on other observations around the country, current temperatures, where the PPN will stall etc... That's why I love Weather in this country, it's so unpredictable!

They must be re doing the warnings this afternoon to go with the 12z UKMO update, if they have actually binned the warnings because of a new development in the models... I think i'll actually jump head first out of my bedroom window

Hi Guys, long time no see :)

I have to do a bit of planning for the weekend so any pointers would be handy.

I plan to drive down from Nottingham to Wokingham Saturday evening - should I bring a flask of soup & a shovel eh? just in case the front does indeed stall....

Then my plans are to drive back up early Monday morning - a wise move? or should I make contingency plans to delay my trip back till Tuesday??

I know there is still alot of uncertainty, but any tips will be welcome.

I know the weather warnings are not working but if they are changing them it would be the quickest turnaround that I can remember... I wonder if anyone at the Meto is being yelled at right now ? It would be ludicrous to finally put a warning out after fence sitting all week only to withdraw it in under 4 hours LOL

If you play the Met Office graphic from that Kid (Deputy Chief Forecaster Lol) They expect the cold (Blues) to sweep back westwards (It even shows it on his computer graphics) so unless their 12z Models are a changing then PLEASE Dont listen to Tv Forecasts as they will all be different every hour. This will not get resolved until Saturday Morning at the earliest!

Btw looking out over the Estaury and towards the North Sea there is not a cloud in sight now!

Here here Sherzers, can't see a max temp of 5c on Sunday for the South East either, 2-3c looks more realistic to me.

Hi,

In my opinion, SE will see heavy snow this weekend, the front will stall over belgium so it might not settle in the london area and to the west ot that.

But it will be very close, I wouldnt be surprised to see 3-4 inches in East London and nothing at heathrow airport
