Yes, it is looking increasingly likely that this March will end up being the sunniest since 2012, or perhaps even more so.

I can see this coming April being predominantly unsettled though, with just the odd settled day here and there. This will be a far cry from the previous two Aprils.

Parallels with 2012.. April 2012 very wet cold and dull...

You may have noticed a change in the title of this thread, as we've set up a fresh thread for everyone's weather moans to go into this spring and summer. So if you fancy a moan up about anything weather wise, please head over there.

Already 19c at Northolt by 11am....didn't expect temps to reach this high so early in the morning!

The UKV run this morning only shows around 15c in London at 11am.

Really looking forward to next weeks cold spell, proper crisp mornings are fantastic. Plenty of time in the the next 6 months for warmth and heat(misery), after this appalling non-winter any cold is very welcome!!

Nope. Don't mind it being cold in winter, but temps of 8c during the day in early April are a complete waste of time and just annoying.

Nope not at all. We’ve had plenty of time for cold and the winter largely blew it, so time for spring now

Winter 20-21 was freezing. Would be a pain if we all had to suffer through a cold spring now restrictions aren't in place. We all deserve a break.

20-21 was great for delivering constant snow events, I had accumulations in each of the 3 winter months, 2018 had the best cold spell, but in terms of the whole winter 20-21 is probably the best since 12-13.

Well I didn't get anything more than a dusting of icing sugar in the Feb, but it was certainly a cold one in most places other than Sheffield obviously. I dont want to go into detail as this is the spring thread but you can go and look for yourself?

Exactly this, we need some bright warm days ahead to get over the trauma of the past 2 years of what certain government's did.

I suppose its what you define as cold, i suspect your cold is vastly different to mine. As your view of hot would be totally different also

I'm a lover of four seasons. For me cold is cold and doesn't need a certain threshold to reach to become 'cold' if that makes sense. As with heat in spring and summer, anything above 20c and I'm happy.

In fact I think the climate here would suit you quite well as it doesn't get as hot as Inland, 30c is rare and there's always a nice breeze.

Must admit that sounds pretty nice your climate, a nice on shore breeze, good air quality i bet, makes all the difference..very envious! For me anything over 25c is hot and needs a breeze to be anywhere near comfortable, your area seems perfect!

Spring in fact can provide these conditions especially in May.

There seems to be a lot of talk about cold for next week, but I'm not seeing it in the forecasts. The Beeb have a couple/few days of slightly below average temps, which is all within typical range for the time of year, then warming back up to average pretty fast. The met office mention a LOW chance of a chill.

It all sounds pretty normal to me at this stage.

Compared to current warmth it will feel cold, but yes nothing unusual temps just a little below average.

I'm in a t-shirt and already have sunburn from being in the sun all day yesterday. I planted all my vegetables, so no to snow. Having a BBQ Saturday as well, so full summer mode here. The snow can go on a detour to Greece.....again.
