Still lightly snowing here. May well catch the edge of the heavy snow showers to my SW. MCR Airport has closed both runways due to heavy snowfall.

Woke up to a dusting here too. Looks like the shower passed through at around 5:30 this morning. Looks quite powdery which has been interesting in this spell it’s usually very wet snow here from NWerly.

Just a dusting from the edge of those showers here. Looks like the office was under more proper snow, glad I put my studded tyres on my bike yesterday.

Yeah, I would think so. Everything covered up again though. Not been out to measure, but looks like a centimetre or two on top of old cover. A lot of what was falling was graupel, so depth would have been significantly greater if all snow. Not complaining though, been a superb few days.

Have a look at the streamer settings up south of Liverpool got my eye on that heading for Elsemere port area some is going to see a few CM from that.

So annoying missing out all the time, would be nice to see an actual flake of snow this winter or even graupel.

Seems that the showers are now heading more SE and spawning higher up the coast.

I might get some scraps if I'm very lucky.

Think that will slip to our South, but may catch a shower from the edge as it passes.

Snowing (and foggy) here now, but don't think it will last. Hopefully more showers will spawn

Good to see and hear reports of snow further south in the region, its turned into quite a snowy spell for Merseyside, Cheshire in particular. I see showers are having no problem making it as far east as Derby, alas we've had diddly squat here - wind direction reason why. We need more of a westerly or better still SWS, SW flow - but getting snow from such direction very difficult as the airmass would be warmer, unless wrapped around a trough feature/low feature to the NW - think Dec 09.

Alas its a bright cold morning, we are above freezing 0.5 degrees. Outlook a gradual warm up, lots of dry sunny weather until Sunday when it becomes cloudier and danker with the milder atlantic feed.
